Descaling chemicals for industrial applications

Descaling chemicals (CLEANOL-DS1125)

CLEANOL-DS1125 is a descaling chemical used to remove hard water scale, rust, and corrosion products from various types of Equipment’s as boilers and condensers.   These deposits are commonly composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), magnesium salt, iron oxide, and other mineral compounds.

CLEANOL-DS1125 chemicals are typically acid based with mixture of corrosion inhibitors, and surfactants that react with mineral scale to dissolve and convert it to soluble salt which can then be flushed out.

Industries where CLEANOL-DS1125 is widely applied: –

Key Points :-

✔ Improves heat transfer efficiency
✔ Reduces fuel & energy consumption
✔ Prevents corrosion and mechanical failure
✔ Maintains equipment lifespan
✔ Maintains water flow and pressure

✔Non-flammable: Does not give off obnoxious fumes.

Typical Dosage Calculation:-

Chemical required (kg) ≈ Scale weight (kg) × 1.15 to 1.30
(10–30% excess included for complete reaction)

Scale thickness can be approximated by:

Scale kg = Surface area (m²) × Thickness (mm) × 2.7(density for CaCO3)

3–5 kg per m² heating surface, Varies with hardness & running cycle

Safety Precautions:-

  • Use PPE: gloves, goggles, face shield, apron, and respirator.
  • No smoking, sparks, or flame near chemical tanks.
  • Ensure ventilation to avoid acid fumes.
  • Use acid-resistant pumps, hoses, tanks.
